Florida horsewoman Baggerman dies

Jasmine Baggerman, a respected horsewoman and massage therapist, died on February 9. She was 49.
Originally from Canada, Baggerman relocated to Ocala ten years ago.
She quickly became an important part of the Thoroughbred industry, working with prominent Florida and Kentucky Thoroughbred breeders at horse sales. She also was employed by Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. as an outrider during the two-year-old in training sales.
Baggerman was a nationally certified massage therapist and a member of the Florida State Massage Therapy Association. She recently was awarded the Florida Sports Massage therapist of the year award.
A memorial service will be held at the OBSC sales pavilion on February 16 at 10 a.m. EST. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Ocala Farm Ministry P.O. Box 770923, Ocala, Florida, 34477.
