TVG to show Hawthorne racing

Posted: Friday, March 07, 2008 4:28 PM

Television Games Network (TVG) and Hawthorne Race Course have reached a multiyear agreement that allows the suburban Chicago track’s races to be shown exclusively on TVG.

Advance deposit wagering (ADW)  and video streaming for Hawthorne’s races also will be available on TVG’s four wagering platforms, including TVG.com.

“We are pleased to have Hawthorne as our newest exclusive television partner racetrack,” TVG General Manager David Nathanson said. “Our broad television distribution in the Chicago area will ensure that both local and international fans alike will conveniently be able to access Hawthorne’s quality racing, including the Illinois Derby [G2] and Hawthorne Gold Cup [G3].”

Hawthorne’s spring meeting opened on Friday and runs through April 28.
