Elkhorn Creek purchases Gardens Glen Farm

Elkhorn Creek Farm LLC has purchased Gardens Glen Farm on Old Lemons Mill Road in Lexington.

The 220-acre breeding and training facility will be renamed Elkhorn Creek Farm. Scott T. Archer and David S. Coia Jr. are managing partners for Elkhorn Creek.

The farm is adjacent to Dr. Naoya Yoshida’s and Marie Yoshida-Debeusscher's Winchester Farm along Elkhorn Creek and will be managed by them as an extension of Winchester Farm.

The two properties together make up 500 acres of high-quality pasture in a prestigious and historic area of the Bluegrass region. The farm will operate broodmare, yearling, and lay-up divisions and will offer boarding, sales prep, and quarantine services.

“Our clients are very proud to own such a beautiful farm in the ‘Thoroughbred Capital of the World,’” Yoshida said. “They have been looking for the right place for a couple years with Bill Justice of Justice Real Estate, who represented both parties in this transaction. The soil is fantastic and the location could not be better. We look forward to helping our clients develop and manage a top level portfolio of sales and race horses.”
