Arlington makes mistake on Arc payouts

Arlington Park has announced a correction to its payouts for the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Fr-G1), run on October 5 at Longchamp.

Arlington, which served as the United States hub for wagers on the Arc, failed to recognize the dead heat declared for third place between Soldier of Fortune and It’s Gino.

Arlington explained the dead heat was not communicated in a timely manner. The track paid out based on Solder of Fortune for third but not It’s Gino. Arlington officials are working with all affected wagering sites to find patrons who had winning combinations involving It’s Gino (number nine) in show wagering, trifectas, and superfectas, where It’s Gino was selected in third.

Arlington said bettors should contact the manager of their wagering site to receive payment. Fans who bet through Internet sites will be notified by providers.
