Breeders’ Cup Ltd. revised its wagering options on Tuesday to include superfecta wagers on all 14 races during the Breeders’ Cup World Championships on October 24-25 at the Oak Tree meeting at Santa Anita Park.
The superfecta wager will be offered with a ten-cent minimum. In a press release last week, Breeders’ Cup Ltd. said it did not plan to offer superfecta wagering for the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) and the Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic (G1).
“We heard the fans loud and clear and recognize that they would be better served if we reinstated the ten-cent superfecta betting on the two Classic races,” said Ken Kirchner, who oversees wagering programs for the Breeders’ Cup.
Other betting options include a $3-million Ultra Pick Six on October 25, a Breeders’ Cup pick six on October 24 with a carryover provision into Saturday if necessary.
There also will be Super High Five wagering on the two Classic races. The early pick four on October 25 features a $1-million guarantee and the late pick four has a $2-million guarantee.
The race order for the two-day event will be announced on October 16.
