Bayne Welker will join Fasig-Tipton Co.’s management team as an account executive in January 2009.
Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning Jr. said the company was delighted to welcome Welker.
“His hands-on experience and focus on auction sales, combined with his history of industry service, are qualities which will fit him perfectly at Fasig-Tipton,” Browning said.
Welker has been the director of public sales and stallion marketing at Mill Ridge Farm in Lexington for nine years. In addition he has served as president of the Consignors and Commercial Breeders Association (CBA) since its inception three years ago.
“It has been a privilege to have been associated with an outstanding operation like Mill Ridge,” Welker said. “I leave with a tremendous respect for Alice Chandler and the Mill Ridge staff and clientele. With Headley Bell’s leadership, the farm will continue to produce top-class Thoroughbreds under the philosophy Mrs. Chandler has instilled. Although it was difficult to leave Mill Ridge, I look forward to the new challenges and opportunities at Fasig-Tipton.”
