North American Racing Academy students to ride at High Hope meet

Students from Racing Hall of Fame jockey Chris McCarron’s North American Racing Academy will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills during the 42nd High Hope Steeplechase meet on Sunday at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington.

The riders will compete in the Catch a Riding Star, a new six-furlong flat race.

The card also includes three races over brush fences, one timber race, an International Amateur Jockey flat race, and an obstacle race.

The day will feature demonstrations, tailgating, picnicking, terrier races, Lurcher races, arts and crafts fair, and children's events.

The High Hope Steeplechase benefits several equine charities, including the Thoroughbred Retirement Fund, the Horse Park Foundation, and Central Kentucky Riding for Hope.
