HRRN to debut live streaming audio
The Horse Racing Radio Network announced on Tuesday that it will provide live streaming audio of its broadcasts on the network’s website beginning on Saturday.
The Lexington-based radio network will debut its new broadcast format during Saturday’s coverage at Saratoga Race Course, starting at 8 a.m. EDT with The Equine Forum.
On October 24-25, HRRN will provide live coverage from the 2008 Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Santa Anita Park.
“Our listeners have repeatedly asked about the capability to listen online,” said HRRN co-owner Mike Penna. “The live streaming will allow fans all over the world to experience HRRN and hear our sport’s biggest races. We are extremely excited to provide this service.”
HRRN also announced on Tuesday its Breeders’ Cup Challenge Handicapping Contest, which also begins on Saturday. The winner of the free contest, which requires players to pick the winners of key races on the Breeders’ Cup trail, will receive two tickets to both days of this year’s Breeders’ Cup World Championships.
