National Museum of Racing to show Derby documentary

The First Saturday in May, an award-winning documentary that follows six horses on the road to the 2006 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1), will be shown at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Beginning July 20, the 96-minute film will be shown daily at 10 a.m. EDT. It will also be shown at 3 p.m. EDT on five-consecutive Tuesdays starting July 22.

Due to scheduling conflicts, the film will not be shown on July 24-25 and 30-31 and August 1, 4, 7, and 26.

A DVD of The First Saturday in May also will be sold in the museum’s gift shop. A portion of all sales will benefit the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, which raises and distributes funding for research beneficial to horses.
