Churchill Downs unveiled the logo for the 134th Kentucky Derby (G1) on Friday in Louisville, Kentucky.

The 2008 Derby, presented by title partner Yum! Brands, will be held on May 3, 2008.

"The Kentucky Derby is all about color, energy, and an enthusiastic celebration of one of our nation's most respected and beloved sporting events," said Steve Sexton, president of Churchill Downs. "We believe the 2008 Kentucky Derby logo conveys those qualities in a bright, distinguishing manner that will excite and energize Derby fans already looking forward to another Kentucky Derby weekend in May 2008."
