Monmouth track superintendent Harrington dead at 66
Monmouth Park track superintendent Dave Harrington died on December 29 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was 66.
Harrington, who was involved with horses since 1957, was track superintendent the last several years after being promoted from assistant starter.
“Dave was a true horseman that dearly cared for this game,” Monmouth Park Vice President Bob Kulina said. “His passion was reflected in the quality of his work. He will be greatly missed by all at Monmouth.”
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society. A “celebration of life” in honor of Harrington will be held at his home in Ft. McCoy, Florida, on January 6.
