Hastings Park joins NTRA

Posted: Friday, April 07, 2000

Hastings Park Racecourse, located in Vancouver, British Columbia, is the latest Canadian track to join the National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA). Hastings Park becomes the third Canadian racing association and the sixth Canadian racetrack to join the NTRA.

"After we evaluated the full scope of the services provided by the NTRA to its respective members, we felt our best choice was to join the association," said Wayne Taylor, Hastings Park director of marketing. "We're impressed with the latest advertising campaign that the NTRA has created, the way they have brought the industry together, and a number of initiatives that they have not only developed over the last couple of years, but also those they are working on for the future."

The two prior associations to join were Assiniboia Downs and the Alberta Racing Corporation, which controls Northlands Park in Edmonton, Stampede Park in Calgary, Whoop Up Downs in Lethbridge, and Evergreen Park in Grande Prairie.
