Red Bullet posts another bullet work

Gotham Stakes (G3) winner Red Bullet, preparing for the Wood Memorial Stakes (G2) at Aqueduct on April 15, prepped for the race with a six-furlong breeze in 1:11.27 over the Belmont Park training track on Friday.

The workout was the fastest of seven workouts over the training track at that distance by more than two seconds.

Trainer Joe Orseno sent out exercise rider Keith Ricks on the Stronach Stables-owned Unbridled colt, who galloped out seven furlongs in 1:24 1/5 and a mile in 1:39 2/5.

"It was awesome," Orseno said of the workout. "It was just the way he did it. The rider didn't have a stick and just sat on him. This was his last big work before the race. He'll have an open gallop on Wednesday."

In other Wood Memorial notes, trainer Nick Zito said that Bare Outline, who finished ninth of ten in the Florida Derby (G1) on March 11 at Gulfstream Park, would pass the Wood Memorial. Zito said he hoped to find an easier spot for the colt.
