Lanni rejoins MGM Grand on full-time basis

J. Terrence Lanni, who stepped down as chairman and chief executive officer of MGM Grand Inc. late last year in order to spend more time with his family, has rejoined the casino and entertainment corporation once again on a full-time basis.

Lanni, who is on the board of directors at Santa Anita Park and its parent company, Magna Entertainment Corp., remained actively involved with MGM Grand after his resignation and was named chairman of the company's board of directors and chairman of its executive committee.

He will retain those positions and will have the co-chief executive officers and president/chief financial officer report directly to him, along with the president and chief executive officer of Mirage Resorts when MGM Grand's purchase of that company is completed later this year.

"I am extremely excited about rejoining MGM Grand on a full-time basis and look forward to working with this senior management team," Lanni said.

Along with his positions at Santa Anita Park and Magna Entertainment, Lanni is also a Thoroughbred owner who co-owns 1999 Breeders' Cup Mile (G1) winner Silic (Fr).
