No changes in NTRA poll

The top ten positions remained unchanged as General Challenge continued to lead the way in the weekly National Thoroughbred Racing Association (NTRA) poll released Monday.

Winner of the Santa Anita Handicap (G1), General Challenge received 17 of a possible 21 first-place votes and 206 overall votes. Stephen Got Even, second in the poll, also received a first-place vote, along with Dubai World Cup (UAE-G1) runner-up Behrens, who was third in the poll. Budroyale and Royal Anthem (one first-place vote) rounded out the top five.

The sixth through tenth positions were held by Beautiful Pleasure, Lemon Drop Kid, Silverbulletday, Manistique (one), and Surfside.

In the weekly three-year-old poll, Fusaichi Pegasus retained his top spot with eight first-place votes and 185 total votes. Stablemate War Chant also retained his second spot with one first-place vote and 157 votes. Mighty (three first place votes), High Yield (one), and Hal's Hope (two) rounded out the top five.

The Deputy (Ire), Surfside (five), Red Bullet (one), Anees, and Captain Steve completed the top ten.
