Takeout decrease on some Sportsman's wagers

Pari-mutuel takeout has been decreased on some wagers at Sportsman's Park, including a reduction of more than 50% on exacta bets made on Tuesdays.

Sportsman's officials slashed takeout on exacta wagers every Tuesday from 20.5% to 10% for all bettors nationwide. Additionally, starting Friday, all win, place, and show wagers placed on-track on the live Sportsman's races on Mondays and Fridays will be reduced from 17% to 13%.

Sportsman's described the cuts, which will mean more money for winning bettors, as a "revolutionary reduction" that will have "industry-wide impact."

The 54-day Sportsman's meet runs through May 13, and racing is conducted five days a week, Fridays through Tuesdays.
