Shino wins eight at Fonner Park

Jockey Ken Shino was virtually unbeatable on Sunday at Fonner Park, riding eight winners, including a stretch of seven straight.

Shino started his blockbuster afternoon in the first race, winning the $4,087 maiden claiming event for three-year-old fillies by a neck aboard Stara. After not riding in the second and finishing seventh in the third, Shino won on his next seven mounts.

The winners during that stretch were Roving Lady (fourth race), Too Hot to Trot (fifth), Fabulent (sixth), Red Siren (seventh), Rustridge Range (eighth), Darby Dawn (ninth), and Shitala (tenth).

Shino closed the day with a runner-up finish in the 11th race, losing by just 1 ½ lengths on Accent On Assets.
