Aqueduct stakes coordinator Andrew Byrnes announced on Saturday that he has received 25 nominations for the 76th running of the $750,000 Wood Memorial Stakes (G2) on April 15. Confirmed for the race are Red Bullet, Country Only, Postponed, Appearing Now, and Exchange Rate.

Trainer John Kimmel sent out jockey Herberto Castillo Jr. on Country Only for a five-furlong breeze at Belmont Park on Saturday morning. Country Only covered the distance in :59.30 and galloped out six furlongs in 1:12.20. Kimmel trainee Wheelaway, a possible for the Wood, breezed an easy five furlongs in 1:05 at Payson Park Saturday morning.

D. Wayne Lukas-trained Exchange Rate is due to ship into Aqueduct on April 11.
