Hasili’s two-year-old daughter Deluxe wins career debut

Deluxe, a two-year-old Storm Cat filly out of 2006 Broodmare of the Year Hasili (Ire), became the seventh winner for her dam when she won her career debut, a 1,600-meter (7.95-furlong) maiden race on Tuesday at Chantilly in France.

Andre Fabre trains Deluxe for her breeder, Prince Khalid Abdullah’s Juddmonte Farms. With Stephane Pasquier aboard, Deluxe completed the distance in 1:41.50 in winning by a half-length over Oranor.

All eight foals of racing age out of Hasili have started, and only Raise The Flag, a four-year-old Sadler’s Wells colt, has failed to win. The 18-year-old Kahyasi mare has produced champions Banks Hill (GB) and Intercontinental (GB), multiple Grade 1 winners Cacique (Ire), Champs Elysees (GB), and Heat Haze (GB), and Group 2 winner, highweight, and leading French sire Dansili (GB).

Hasili’s only other progeny is a yearling Empire Maker filly. She was not bred in 2008.

Hasili is out of the winning High Line mare Kerali and is a full sister to 2008 English Broodmare of the Year Arrive, dam of Group 1 winner Promising Lead (GB) and multiple group or graded stakes winner Visit (GB). The family also includes champion and sire Leroidesanimaux (Brz), multiple grade and group winner Three Valleys, and Group 2 winner Treat Gently (GB).

Kerali is a half sister to Group 1 winner and sire So Factual, Group 3 winner and sire Bold Fact, and multiple stakes winner Field Dancer (Ire), Kerali is out of the champion Roberto mare Sookera, a family that includes multiple Grade 2 winner Hawksley Hill (Ire), whose half sister Escape to Victory (GB) produced Group 1 winner Benbaun.
