Galileo colt tops SGA Italian select yearling sale

Bruno Grizzetti purchased the sale-topping Galileo (Ire) colt at the Societa Gestione Aste Italian select yearling sale at the Settimo Milanese complex in Milan, Italy.
Grizzetti’s Grizzetti Galoppo purchased the bay colt for $266,040 (180,000 euros) during Monday’s opening session. The sale topper is out of the stakes-winning Muhtarram mare Frottola and was consigned by S.A.R.L.
The second-highest price at the two-day sale, which concluded Tuesday, was $118,240 (80,000 euros) for a bay colt by Dubawi.
Darley Stud purchased the half brother to multiple stakes winner Alta Fedelta.
Consigned by Azienda Agricola Rosati Colarieti, the Dubawi colt is out of the stakes-winning Luge (GB) mare Infiel.
La Nuova Sbarra landed the top-priced filly of the sale, a $103,460 (70,000 euros) Cape Cross (Ire) filly also from the consignment of Azienda Agricola Rosati Colarieti.
The bay filly is out of the Rainbow Quest mare Miss Shangri La, a half sister to group stakes winners St Expedit and Asian Heights.
