Julio Bozano’s Haras Santa Maria de Araras homebred Savoir Bien rocketed to the lead in the stretch en route to a two-length victory under Jesus Medina in the Gran Premio Eliseo Ramirez (Arg-G1) on Sunday at Hipodromo San Isidro.

The Gran Premio Eliseo Ramirez is the first Group 1 race of the season for two-year-old fillies on turf.

Trained by Carlos Daniel Etchechoury, the Bernstein filly completed 1,400 meters (6.96 furlongs) in 1:21.62 on firm turf.

Haras la Quebrada’s Sonrisar closed ground late to finish second, a half-length in front of Simpatica Cat.

Savoir Bien won for the second time in three starts. She entered off a runner-up finish to Bouclette Glory in the Saturnino J. Unzue (Arg-G1) on March 15. Bouclette Glory finished sixth in the ten-horse field.

A five-length winner of her debut at Palermo on February 8, Argentina-bred Savoir Bien is out of Savilla, by Numerous.
