Second Reality wins Argentina's Pellegrini

Making his first start on the turf, Second Reality registered a two-length victory in the Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini- Internacional (Arg-G1) on Sunday at San Isidro near Buenos Aires and stamped himself as a leading contender for Horse of the Year honors in Argentina.
The victory was the third in Group 1 competition this season for the three-year-old son of Hidden Prize, who also won the Dardo Rocha Internacional (Arg-G1) and the Provincia de Buenos Aires (G1).
Ridden by Gonzalo Hahn, Secret Reality won by two lengths from Bat Ruizero, with Cayman another two lengths back in third.
Bred by Orilla Del Monte and trained by Rodolfo Cariaga, Second Reality has now won eight of 11 career starts for earnings of $237,746.
The second of three Group 1 events on the program—the Gran Premio Joaquin S. de Anchorena-Internacional (Arg-G1)—was won by Randy Cat. A three-year-old daughter of Roy, Randy Cat defeated Lord Card by three-quarters of a length with Gold Gift another half-length back in third.
Winner of five of six career starts, including the Saturnino J. Unzue (Arg-G1) in March, Randy Cat ran the 1,600 meters in 1:31.83 under jockey Pablo Gustavo Falero. The victory boosted her career winnings to $125,811 for trainer Juan Carlos Maldotti and owner-breeder operation Haras Vacacion.
Camire Toss won the other Group 1 event on the program—the Gran Premio Felix de Alzaga Unzue-Internacional (Arg-G1).
The four-year-old daughter of Bombazo Toss won the five-furlong event over the firm turf in :58.32 under Jacinto Rafael Herrera. Rocking Trick finished second, while Fire Toss was third.
The victory was the ninth in 16 career starts for Camire Toss, who raised her earnings to $126,585.
