Jerry Barton, a former assistant to D. Wayne Lukas and the brother of retired jockey Donna Barton Brothers, saddled the first two finishers of the Crown Prince's Cup at Al Malaz racecourse in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Friday.

The winner of the two-mile event was Crimson Quest, a four-year-old son of Rainbow Quest who was a French Group 2 winner last year under the tutelage of Andre Fabre.

Barton also was represented by runner-up Sei Mi. Takwin finished third.

Barton left the United States last year to take a position with Prince Sultan bin Mohammed bin Saud al Kabeer.

French Group winners Hightori and Holding Court, who raced under the new name Wakaad, finished unplaced.
