Woodbine to add infield video display boards
Woodbine Race Course outside Toronto plans to add two new video display boards to the infield for its 2002 meeting that begins March 23.
Displayvision Technologies has been selected by Woodbine Entertainment Group to supply and install the 24x32-foot high-resolution screens.
"(Displayvision's) track record on delivering great products and on time was a major factor," said Steve Mitchell, vice president of wagering operations for Woodbine Entertainment. "The two huge displays will be spectacular. We'll use one to provide constant video of our Thoroughbred and Standardbred races and the other to provide wagering information.
Woodbine has previously added a temporary 17x22-foot screen to the infield during its annual Festival of Racing in June and it drew positive reviews from patrons.
