Pedigree Patterns: An Ultimate blast from the past

One of the first broodmares we purchased when William duPont III leased historic Haras de Victot near Deauville, France, in the early 1980s was the minor English stakes winner Right Ahead, by Right Tack. In addition to her good race record and solid conformation, Right Ahead possessed an interesting pedigree, and her story leads indirectly to the pedigree of 2012 Strub Stakes (G2) winner Ultimate Eagle.
