Rachel Alexandra, the 2009 Eclipse Award winner as Horse of the Year, delivered her first foal on Sunday at 2:40 p.m. EST at Stonestreet Farm in Lexington.

The foal is a colt by 2007 and 2008 Horse of the Year Curlin. Both Rachel Alexandra and Curlin were raced, either alone or in partnership, by Jess Jackson’s and Barbara Banke’s Stonestreet Stables.

Rachel Alexandra won the 2009 Preakness Stakes (G1) and Curlin won the second jewel of the Triple Crown in 2007, making Rachel Alexandra’s first foal by a U.S. Horse of the Year out of a Horse of the Year with both parents Preakness winners. Rachel Alexandra and Curlin combined for 12 Group/Grade 1 wins and earned more than $14-million combined.

The arrival was announced on Twitter and a photo of the colt can be viewed here.

I laugh at you, in your face if I'd see your ugly skeletal faces in person. trash. Handicapper, are you jealous of me too? I think so. I can't blame you considering how you see me burn people up all over these horse racing blogs everywhere. Yeah, I'm that crazy good baby. I can brag on myself . and I do.

Thank you Amy. That is what I thought, and has been trying to tell this dingbat. If they would have just kept it at just those two comments by me, I wouldn't have continued this bickering. Nothing wrong with people making harmless comments, about Rachel Alexandra and her baby boy. Geez.
