Strong Hope to stand 2012 season in Indiana

Strong Hope, a multiple Grade 2 winner and sire by Grand Slam out of the Deputy Minister mare Shining Through, will stand the 2012 season at Midwest Equine & Veterinary Hospital in Trafalgar, Indiana.   

Strong Hope, winner of the 2003 Jim Dandy (G2) and Dwyer (G2) Stakes, earned $767,460 on the track and has more than $5.5-million in progeny earnings through Thursday.  His offspring earned more than $2.3-million in 2011. 

Strong Hope will stand for a fee of $2,500 (stands and nurses).  He is owned by a syndicate led by Eugene N. Melnyk’s Winding Oaks Farm.

Midwest Equine & Veterinary Hospital is owned and operated by Roger D. Beam, D.V.M. and also stands Desert Warrior, a son of Deputy Minister out of the Secretariat mare Navajo Pass.
 
Desert Warrior stands for $2,000 (stands and nurses) and is ranked fifth on the 2011 Indiana leading sires list.
