Courtside first winner for Cindago

Posted: Friday, September 03, 2010 7:25 PM

Courtside drove to a 3¾-length victory in the sixth race on Thursday at Del Mar and became the first winner for freshman sire Cindago.

The gray or roan gelding, trained by John Sadler, covered 5 ½ furlong maiden claiming race in 1:04.85 on a track rated as fast. He is out of the unraced Boston Harbor mare Wet.

Cindago captured two of his three starts, including a victory in the 2006 El Cajon Stakes at Del Mar. By Indian Charlie out of the Turkoman mare Tupelo Belle, Cindago stood in 2010 for $2,500 at Legacy Ranch in Clements, California.

Cindago has 11 two-years-olds in his first crop.
