Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders honor Ide, Ryder River

The Louisiana Thoroughbred Breeders Association will honor Ide as its 2009 stallion of the year, based on earnings from Louisiana-bred offspring.
Ide’s Louisiana-bred progeny earned $2,231,521 in 2009. The Ide Group owns Ide, who stands at Clear Creek Stud in Folsom, Louisiana.
Ryder River Farm garnered the association’s breeder of the year award with $276,240 in breeder awards in 2009.
Other award winners include broodmare of the year Minit Towinit and her son, Star Guitar, the champion four-year-old male.
Brittlyn Stable Inc. bred and owns Star Guitar, a son of Quiet American.
Award presentations will be made at the 2010 Annual Meeting at Fair Grounds on June 5.
