Mysterious Peintre, Straight Talking to South Carolina

Mysterious Peintre (Fr) and Straight Talking have both retired, and each will stand at separate farms this year in South Carolina.
Mysterious Peintre, a six-year-old Peintre Celebre horse out of the winning Barathea (Ire) mare Mysterious Guest, will stand at Ketchen Place Farm in Rock Hill, South Carolina. A half brother to stakes winner Mysterious Lina (Fr), Mysterious Peintre won six of 19 starts, including two stakes, and earned $229,350 in four seasons.
“In addition to serving sport horse mares, I’d love to see this stallion get some racing mares,” said Wylie Perkins, South Carolina Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association secretary. “South Carolina breeders have had a lot of success at the grass-oriented Colonial Downs meet, and this stallion has the racing class and pedigree to get runners who could excel on the turf. I thank [owner Michel Jean] Zerolo and trainer Marty Wolfson for making this possible.”
Straight Talking, an unraced four-year-old by Dixieland Band out of Grade 3 winner Gin Talking, by Allen’s Prospect, will stand at Franklin G. Smith’s Elloree Training Center in Elloree, South Carolina. Straight Talking is a full brother to Grade 3 winner Dixie Talking.
A stud fee was not announced for either horse.
