Jaws n’ Paws first career winner for Onebadshark

Posted: Wednesday, March 10, 2010 2:13 PM

Jaws n’ Paws closed from seventh to win the sixth race at Santa Anita Park by a half-length on Sunday to become the first winner for sire Onebadshark.

One of two winners from three starters out of the stakes-winning Sir Cat mare Denali Cat, Jaws n’ Paws covered six furlongs on the synthetic Pro-Ride surface in 1:09.75 in the maiden special weight race for three-year-old fillies. Trained by Brian Koriner for owners E-Racing .com and Janet Lyons, Jaws n’ Paws is a half sister to stakes winner Onebadkitty and is the first U.S. starter for Onebadshark.

A ten-year-old by Diligence out of the Houston mare Color Unlimited, Onebadshark won six of 23 starts, including two stakes, and earned $218,912 in five seasons. He is the sire of 16 foals from two crops of racing age.

Onebadshark stands for $1,500 at Running Luck Farm in Parlier, California.
