First reported foal for Henrythenavigator

The first reported foal by multiple Group 1 winner Henrythenavigator was born on January 20 when 1996 champion older female and stakes producer Jewel Princess gave birth to a colt at Coolmore’s Ashford Stud in Versailles, Kentucky.
Henrythenavigator, a five-year-old by Kingmambo out of Irish Group 1 winner Sequoyah (Ire), by Sadler’s Wells, won six of 11 career starts and earned $2,766,763 in two seasons. His wins include the Stanjamesuk.com Two Thousand Guineas (Eng-G1), BGC Sussex Stakes (Eng-G1), St. James’s Palace Stakes (Eng-G1), and Boylesports Irish Two Thousand Guineas (Ire-G1).
He stands at Ashford Stud for an advertised fee of $40,000 and covered 155 mares in 2009. Henrythenavigator’s first book included champion Rags to Riches and the dams of champions Zenyatta, Smarty Jones, and Big Brown.
Jewel Princess, an 18-year-old Key to the Mint mare out of Jewell Ridge, by Melyno (Ire), won 13 of 29 career starts, including the 1996 Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1), and earned $1,904,060. The colt is her ninth foal.
