Bullsbay, the 2009 Whitney Handicap (G1) winner, has been retired to stand at Northview Stallion Station in Chesapeake City, Maryland, in 2011.

A stud fee has not been announced for the six-year-old Tiznow horse out of the stakes-placed winner The Hess Express, by Lord Carson.

Bullsbay scored by 1½ lengths in the Whitney at Saratoga Race Course in defeating Grade 1 winners Macho Again and Commentator and followed with a third-place finish to eventual Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra and Macho Again in the Woodward Stakes (G1).

Earlier in 2009, Bullsbay posted consecutive stakes wins in the Harrison E. Johnson Memorial Handicap at Laurel Park and Alysheba Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs. He set a track record on the Polytrack at Del Mar in 2008 by completing a one-mile allowance race in 1:36.23.

Bullsbay, a half brother to stakes winners Our Khrysty and Hidden Expression, won seven of 25 career starts and earned $923,245 for owners Mitchell Ranch, Frank Lewkowitz, and Joe Rice.
