Forest Danger to stand ’10 season in Indiana

Aaron and Marie Jones will stand their Grade 1-winning Forestry stallion Forest Danger at Thomas Wente’s WinRich Farm in North Vernon, Indiana, this year for a private fee.
The nine-year-old bay horse out of Grade 2 winner Starry Ice, by Ice Age, stood his first four seasons at the Taylor family’s Taylor Made Farm in Nicholasville, Kentucky, and he ranked 29th among freshman sires last year with $293,405 in progeny earnings through December 31. Forest Danger’s Gun Rock won a maiden race at Saratoga Race Course on September 5, defeating eventual Grade 3 winner Rule.
Forest Danger won five of eight starts, including the 2005 Carter Handicap (G1) at four and the ’04 Bay Shore Stakes (G3) at three. He also set a track record at Gulfstream Park for 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:14.44.
Forest Danger is the only son of the Storm Cat stallion Forestry scheduled to stand the 2010 season in Indiana. WinRich’s roster also includes Chief Seattle, Evil Minister, and High Fly.
