Multiple graded stakes winner Diabolical has been retired to stand the 2010 season at Fred Alexander’s A&A Ranch in Anthony, New Mexico. He will stand for a fee of $3,500.

Taylor Made Sales Agency, Byron Rogers of Pedigree Consultants, and Jason Litt of Litt Bloodstock brokered the deal to bring Diabolical to New Mexico.

“Diabolical was outstanding at two, a classic performer at three that stretched to a mile, and a top class older sprinter who raced on both dirt and turf and set records over sprint distances,” Alexander said. “He has a great female line with plenty of class. What is more pleasing for me is that he is a gorgeous stallion to look at. He really has outstanding presence. I am delighted to be able to add him to the stallions at A&A Ranch.”

A six-year-old by Artax out of the Dayjur mare Bonnie Byerly, Diabolical won nine of 32 career starts with eight second-place finishes and earned $1,467,401 in five racing seasons.

Diabolical won the Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicap (G2) and Emirates Airline Maryland Sprint Handicap (G3) in 2007 and also won three stakes races as a three-year-old in ’06. He also won the 2008 Green Desert Mahab al Shimaal (UAE-G1) and was a stakes winner on turf and dirt.
