Ashford Stud cuts stud fees for 2010

Ashford Stud in Versailles, Kentucky, cut the 2010 stud fees for all but one of its returning stallions, including Giant’s Causeway and Henrythenavigator.

Tale of the Cat will remain at $30,000 for 2010 while Thewayyouare will enter his first year at stud for a $10,000 fee.

“Following a tough year for breeders in 2009, we are offering unprecedented value for 2010,” said Dermot Ryan, Ashford Stud manager. “With the one exception of Tale of the Cat, whose fee has remained unchanged, all our fees have been reduced including that of America’s best sire Giant’s Causeway. We are delighted with the response to our new sire Thewayyouare, who was one of the best juveniles Kingmambo ever sired.”
