Hill ‘n’ Dale reduces fees on nine stallions for 2010

Posted: Thursday, November 12, 2009 9:27 AM

Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms has dropped the 2010 stud fees for nine of their 12 stallions for the 2010 breeding season.

The fees have been reduced for Closing Argument, El Corredor, Grand Reward, Harlington, Heatseeker (Ire), Indygo Shiner, Mutakddim, Seeking the Dia, and Stormy Atlantic.

Two sires will have no change in their fees for 2010—Midnight Lute and Roman Ruler.

“Our objective is always to provide great value for our customers,” Hill `n’ Dale Farms President John G. Sikura said. “We realize these are difficult times and have set our fees for 2010 accordingly.

“We believe the fees are extremely fair and will afford breeders a strong opportunity to be successful.”

The Lexington farm also added one new stallion to its roster for 2010 in multiple Grade 1 winning sprinter Zensational, who will stand his initial season at stud for $25,000.

All stud fees are stands and nurses. A 10% discount will be applied if the fee is paid on or before November 15, 2010.
