Millennium Farms, Moon Lake Farm form partnership

Posted: Wednesday, November 11, 2009 11:11 AM

Ro Parra’s Millennium Farms and John Turner’s Moon Lake Farm in Louisiana has formed a partnership. Turner’s farm will now be called Millennium Farms at Moon Lake.

Turner’s farm has also acquired a fractional interest in 30 of Parra’s mares. The mares will relocate from Lexington to Louisiana to participate in that state’s breeding program.

“We will likely move more mares over time,” Parra said. “We feel that the Kentucky program is not as competitive as other regional programs like the one in Louisiana.”

Parra will also move sire Littleexpectations from 519 Thoroughbreds in Arcadia, Louisiana, to Millennium Farms at Moon Lake. The 12-year-old by Valid Appeal will stand for $2,000.
