Multiple graded stakes winner Rebellion (GB) has been retired and will stand the 2010 season at Norse Ridge Farm in King Township, Ontario, Canada for $3,240 ($3,500 Canadian).

The six-year-old Mozart (Ire) horse out of Group 2 winner Last Resort, by Lahib, won seven of 26 career starts and earned $816,277 in five racing seasons. Rebellion won the 2008 Commonwealth Stakes (G2) and Ack Ack Handicap (G3) and finished second in the ’08 TVG Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile.

“Rebellion is the most genuine horse an owner could ever ask for,” owner James Treptow said. “He won at five different racetracks in Europe and North America, on turf and Polytrack, retired completely sound, and always showed tremendous heart and determination. He descends from the brilliant Danehill line and is sure to pass on his heart and durability to his offspring.”
