Champion Rags to Riches in foal to Henrythenavigator

Champion Rags to Riches has been pronounced in foal to dual European classic winner and 2008 Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) runner-up Henrythenavigator, who stands for $65,000 at Ashford Stud in Versailles, Kentucky.

Rags to Riches earned an Eclipse Award as 2007 champion three-year-old filly after concluding her three-year-old campaign with five wins in six starts, including a victory by a head over two-time Horse of the Year Curlin in the Belmont Stakes (G1). Rags to Riches delivered her first foal, a Giant’s Causeway filly, earlier this year.

“We are delighted that Rags to Riches is in foal to Henrythenavigator, and her Giant’s Causeway filly foal is doing great, too,” said Dermot Ryan, Ashford Stud’s manager. “Among 60 other mares in foal to Henrythenavigator is dual Grade 1 winner Fiji [GB] and Vertigineux, the dam of multiple Grade 1 winners Zenyatta and Balance.”
