Behindatthebar to Judice Farm in Louisiana

Coolmore Lexington Stakes (G2) winner Behindatthebar will begin his stud career in 2010 at Judice Farm in Sunset, Louisiana.

The four-year-old Forest Wildcat colt out of Grade 1-placed winner Rhiana, by Runaway Groom, will stand for $2,500 for a syndicate.

Behindatthebar scored for trainer Todd Pletcher and owners Padua Stables, Michael Shustek, and W. Don Stanley in the 2008 Coolmore Lexington, which ended up being his final start. He was scratched from the Preakness Stakes (G1) because of a foot injury.

“The Behindatthebar syndicate is made up of some of Louisiana’s best breeders, who own very good mares,” Perry Judice said. “He will have every chance to succeed as a stallion, and we are extremely excited to stand him at our farm.”

Bred in Kentucky by Dr. Frank Justice and Meadow Oaks Farm, Behindatthebar won three of five career starts and earned $277,100.

Brian Foret of The Stallion Co. in Lexington is handling the syndication. Limited shares are available.
