After standing one year in Canada, Suave Prospect is headed back to New Mexico.

The 17-year-old Fortunate Prospect horse, a multiple Grade 3 winner in four years on the track, has been purchased by Steve Prather to stand at his Doubletree Farm in Eunice, New Mexico, for $4,000 for the 2010 season.

Suave Prospect won the 1994 What a Pleasure Stakes (G3) at Calder Race Course and the ’95 Preview Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park. He also finished second in both the 1995 Florida Derby (G1), Fountain of Youth Stakes (G2), and Blue Grass Stakes (G2).

Suave Prospect has 381 foals of racing age from nine crops of racing age, and his progeny have earned $16,429,357 through Tuesday.
