My Friend Max to Averett Farm in Louisiana


My Friend Max will move to Averett Farm in Loranger, Louisiana, for the 2010 breeding season.

The 17-year-old by Danzig will stand for $1,750 live foal (stands and nurses) or $1,500 payable September 1.

Out of the stakes-placed Alydar mare Lassie’s Lady, My Friend Max is a half brother to Grade 2 winner and sire Bite the Bullet, stakes winner and sire Shuailaan, stakes-placed winner and sire Black Mambo, and Grade 3-placed winner Love Me True, dam of European champion Duke of Marmalade (Ire).

From the female family of 1992 Broodmare of the Year Weekend Surprise, dam of Horse of the Year and leading sire A.P. Indy and classic winner and sire Summer Squall, My Friend Max stood the 2009 season for $2,500 at Elite Thoroughbreds in Folsom, Louisiana. He is the sire of 37 winners from 60 starters, including four champions in South America.
