Dual classic winner Big Brown will enter stud in 2009 for $65,000 at Robert and Blythe Clay's Three Chimneys Farm in Midway, Kentucky.

The farm released Big Brown's fee, along with fees for its other 11 stallions on Friday.

Big Brown, who captivated racing fans with his dominant wins in the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1) and the Preakness Stakes (G1) this season, was retired on October 13 after grabbing a quarter during an October 13 workout at Aqueduct in preparation for a start in the Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) on October 25 at the Oak Tree meet at Santa Anita Park.

After Big Brown's roll through the first two legs of the Triple Crown, IEAH Stables's star was pulled up by jockey Kent Desormeaux in the Belmont Stakes (G1). He came back later in the summer to win the Haskell Invitational Stakes (G1) and the Monmouth Stakes at Monmouth Park for trainer Richard Dutrow Jr.

Big Brown won seven of eight career starts and earned $3,614,500.

Three Chimneys also stands 2004 champion three-year-old male and dual classic winner Smarty Jones. The seven-year-old Elusive Quality horse stood his first four seasons at stud for $100,000, but Three Chimneys has listed his fee as “private” for 2009.
