Got the Last Laugh to stand in Florida

Got the Last Laugh, a graded stakes winner by Distorted Humor, will begin his stud career in 2009 at McKathan Brothers Farm in Citra, Florida.

The four-year-old colt out of Grade 3 winner Theresa’s Tizzy, by Cee’s Tizzy, will stand for $2,500.

Got the Last Laugh finished in a dead heat for first with Officer Rocket (GB) in the 2006 Arlington-Washington Breeders’ Cup Futurity (G3) with eventual two-year-old champion and ’07 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (G1) winner Street Sense 1 3/4 lengths back in third. That win came three weeks after he won his career debut at Saratoga Race Course, defeating eventual Grade 2 winner Sightseeing by two lengths.

Got the Last Laugh was the runner-up this year in both the John Henry Stakes on dirt at Evangeline Downs and the Barksdale Stakes on turf at Louisiana Downs. He made his last start on October 19 when he finished seventh in the Remington Park Sprint Championship Stakes.

Bred in Kentucky by Brilliant STB, Fielding, Taylor Made, et al, Got the Last Laugh won five of 21 career starts and earned $249,227.
