Enjoy the Score first winner for Even the Score

Enjoy the Score opened a half-length lead in early stretch and posted a 2 1/4-length debut win in a maiden special weight race on Thursday at Louisiana Downs to become the first winner for multiple Grade 2 winner Even the Score.
Enjoy the Score, who is out of the Distorted Humor mare Time to Enjoy, won the five-furlong race in :59.28 on a fast track for owners Dwight Fugate and Jerry Hardin, who also trains the filly.
Even the Score, a ten-year-old by Unbridled’s Song out of Grade 2-placed stakes winner Ashtabula, by Rahy, stands for $7,500 at Millennium Farms in Lexington. He has 77 two-year-olds in his first crop.
Even the Score concluded his racing career in 2004 with nine wins in 29 starts and $751,629 in earnings. The gray or roan horse earned consecutive wins at Hollywood Park in ’04 in the Mervyn LeRoy Handicap (G2) and Californian Stakes (G2) for trainer Vladmir Cerin and owner Rosendo Parra.
