Grade 2 winner Keyed Entry retired to Bridlewood Farm

Posted: Thursday, July 24, 2008 5:58 PM

Multiple graded stakes winner Keyed Entry has been retired from racing and will enter stud in 2009 at Bridlewood Farm in Ocala.

A stud fee for Keyed Entry has not yet been determined.

A five-year-old by Honour and Glory out of Grade 3-placed winner Ava Knowsthecode, by Cryptoclearance, Keyed Entry set a track record while winning the 2006 Hutcheson Stakes (G2) at Gulfstream Park. Keyed Entry won the Hutcheson by 1 1/4 lengths and covered 7 ½ furlongs in 1:27.12.

As a four-year-old, Keyed Entry won the Deputy Minister Handicap (G3) at Gulfstream.

Keyed Entry was trained by Todd Pletcher during his racing career for Starlight Stable, Donald Lucarelli, and Paul Saylor. He was retired with four wins in 12 starts and career earnings of $332,852.

“We are very excited about Keyed Entry joining our stallion ranks,” said George Isaacs, general manager of Bridlewood Farm. “He possessed tremendous speed, brilliance, and class on the racetrack, and is a top physical specimen. He’s the real deal.”
