Grade 3 winner Scatmandu relocating to Thailand


Grade 3 winner Scatmandu has been purchased privately by Charlie Pekanan and will stand the 2009 breeding season at Pekanan Farms in Thailand.

No stud fee was announced for Scatmandu, a full brother to multiple Grade 1 winner November Snow. Scatmandu, a Storm Cat horse out of the placed Alydar mare Princess Alydar, stood the 2008 season for $3,500 at Market Demand Farm in Chamberino, New Mexico.

Thirteen-year-old Scatmandu is the sire of 212 foals in six crops of racing age, including Grade 3 winner Sheets. Scatmandu has sired 126 winner from 170 starters through Thursday.
