Taylor Made lowers Unbridled's Song's fee

Taylor Made Stallions has reduced the 2009 stud fee for Unbridled’s Song, the sire of Bessemer Trust Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) winner Midshipman.

Originally listed with a $150,000 fee, Unbridled’s Song will stand for $112,500 for a live foal payable on November 1, 2009, or $125,000 when live foal stands and nurses.

“[G]iven the adjustment in fees of two of the breed’s other great stallions, namely A.P. Indy and Distorted Humor, we feel it is in the best interest of our customers to readjust Unbridled's Song's 2009 fee,” Taylor Made says in a statement.

Unbridled Song ranked sixth among all sires with progeny cataloged to the 2008 Keeneland September yearling sale by average price, as 40 yearlings by the Unbridled stallion sold for an average of $355,125.

Lane’s End dropped A.P. Indy’s fee from $300,000 to $250,000 this week, and WinStar Farm reduced Distorted Humor’s fee from $225,000 to $150,000.

Taylor Made will offer discounts for its other stallions for payments made on November 1.
