Shark to stand at Pin Oak Lane

Multiple stakes-placed winner Shark will stand the 2009 breeding season at Dr. William J. Solomon’s Pin Oak Lane Farm in New Freedom, Pennsylvania. No stud fee was announced for the six-year-old by Danzig.

Out of the 2000 champion three-year-old filly Surfside, by Seattle Slew, Shark has amassed three wins, eight seconds, and two thirds in 27 career starts with $183,076 in purse earnings. Shark’s second dam is 1994 champion two-year-old filly Flanders.

An Overbrook Farm homebred trained by Jeffrey Thornbury, Shark has won races on grass and dirt. He finished second in 2007 in both the Kentucky Cup Turf Dash Stakes and Delta Express Stakes.
